Additionally, 40% of consumers approved for Petal credit cards in the last year were first declined by traditional banks. Petal's B2B-focused business unit, Prism Data, provides proprietary cash flow underwriting technology and credit scoring models to lenders and other businesses, allowing them to use open banking data to better understand customers and applicants. Its open banking analytics provides insights into an individual's habitual behaviors, such as income generation, savings, rent payments, enhancing the accuracy of risk profiling for contexts such as credit cards, mortgages, and car loans - and increasing approvals by 10%.
