EIG is actively involved in fostering West Burton's pursuit of additional energy transition initiatives, including projects focused on hydrogen blending to further reduce carbon intensity. GNL Quintero

GNL Quintero, the largest LNG terminal in Chile, providing 75% of the country’s capacity. GNL has been deemed a “strategic company” toward the nation’s Net Zero decarbonization strategy – helping with the transition from coal to renewable energy usage. In 2022, the facility quantified its carbon footprint with 99% attributable to Scope 3 emissions, Use of Products Sold, albeit at a lower intensity than similar facilities. It achieved a 27% reduction in GHG emissions from 2017 to 2020 and implemented strong community outreach and engagement programs.
