As a biotechnology company, HTL relies on a stable water supply for its product manufacturing processes. Recognizing the growing threat of climate change to local water sources, the company initiated a structured program of water recycling and treatment in 2022 aimed at reducing its water consumption in production. In the same year, HTL introduced a new system to cool fermenters by reusing waste fluid, resulting in a 5% reduction in water consumption.
