Urbaser is driving the circular economy by processing over 35 million tons of waste annually across 19 countries, innovating to reduce environmental impact. In 2022, Urbaser's efforts prevented 2.6 million tons of CO2e emissions, equal to taking 578,579 gasoline-powered cars off the road for a year. Urbaser views circularity through two lenses: transforming waste into resources and sustainable operations. Their treatment and recovery activities recycle waste into plastics, glass, ferrous materials, compost, energy, or oils, while generating renewable energy from non-recoverable waste in valorization facilities and landfills. Over 30% of Urbaser's vehicle fleet is electric, gas, or hybrid-powered, and more than 60% of their generated energy is renewable, with renewable electricity purchases increasing by over 30% last year.

Hop Lun reported that 92% of its employees were paid at or above the "living wage" level in 2022, progressing towards its goal of reaching 100% by 2026. The company prioritizes benefits and leave entitlements for workers in its factories in Bangladesh, Indonesia, and China, emphasizing worker treatment in its social agenda. To calculate the living wage, Hong Kong-based Hop Lun uses the Anker methodology, which aligns wages with the costs of maintaining a decent standard of living for a household. This standard includes food, water, housing, education, health care, transport, clothing, and other unexpected needs, based on a family of two parents and two children with 1.5 full-time equivalent workers.
